In this tutorial we create a colorful metal necklace by combining similar metal elements in different shades of plating together.
step 1: preparing your materials
Prepare your work environment. Organizing your tools and materials will help
you work faster and more efficient.
Trilliant stone setting with different plating:
Antique Copper, Nickel and Antique silver.
Step 2 : combining the base of the necklace
Organize all the stone setting by size, with the metal flower connectors in between.
Use small 5mm jump rings to connect the stone setting and the connectors.
Connect the clasp on one side and an extension chain with metal label and Swarovski stone on the other side.
Step 3 : hanging the chains
Antique Copper chain - 40cm long.
Nickel oval loops chain – 37cm long.
Hang the chains at the inner fart of necklace.
Open and close the 6mm jump ring with the plier tools and hang the chains together on the last link of the necklace.
Step 4 : setting the stones
Place the stone in the center of the stone setting and with the help of the setting tool bend the prongs towards the stone in order to embed it.
